Press Release, Montreal | October 17, 2025
Milvue announces the official launch of Milvue Suite TechCare Metrics, now cleared under Health Canada’s Medical Device Regulations (SOR 98/282). This breakthrough AI solution delivers fully automated musculoskeletal (MSK) measurements on radiographs and EOS, helping healthcare professionals improve diagnostic accuracy, consistency, and workflow efficiency.
The launch of TechCare Metrics in Canada enriches our central platform, the Milvue Suite, which now offers a comprehensive approach to musculoskeletal imaging. The suite is built around two complementary solutions: the first one dedicated to the detection and triage of traumatic anomalies, and now the Metrics solution for the automation of orthopedic measurements. With this new clearance, the Milvue Suite is now certified for the Canadian (Health Canada) and European (CE MDR) markets, providing a complete and validated AI solution for radiologists and orthopedists.
A NEW STANDARD IN MSK IMAGING
TechCare Metrics leverages deep learning to provide precise anatomical landmarks and automated measurements for radiographs of the shoulder, hand, spine, pelvis, foot and legs. It also offers bone age assessment for patients aged 1 to 18, supporting pediatric and orthopedic care.
With over 90% accuracy compared to clinician assessments and demonstrated time savings from seconds to minutes per case, TechCare Metrics is designed to enhance radiologists’, orthopedists’, and technologists’ efficiency without replacing clinical expertise.
CLINICAL BENEFITS AND IMPACT
- High Reliability: >90% of parameters within 5mm or 5° mean absolute error.
- Bone Age Assessment: Mean absolute error <5 months in pediatric use.
- Time Savings: Reduces measurement workflows from 10 minutes to just seconds.
- Integration Flexibility: Available both on premises and via secure Microsoft Azure Cloud for seamless deployment.
VOICES FROM THE FIELD
“Milvue results integrate well with the Sectra PACS (…) Milvue analysis results correlate well with osteoarticular radiologists’ measurements. There has been an improvement in patient care since the Milvue measurement module was introduced. (…) The speed of Milvue results has enabled workflow restructuring to accommodate more patients (particularly on EOS) (…).” – Guillaume Michel, General Manager, Olympe Imagerie, France
“For over two years, the TransMedTech Institute and I have been working closely with Milvue to develop automated spinal measurements. This experience has demonstrated the exceptional quality of our partnership as well as the robustness and performance of their algorithms in extensive use.” – Prof. Carl-Éric Aubin, Executive and Scientific Director – TransMedTech Institute, Montreal (QC)
“We are proud to bring TechCare Metrics to Canadian hospitals and imaging centers. Our mission is to deliver AI that is not only cutting-edge but also practical—supporting healthcare professionals in their daily challenges, improving accuracy, and freeing up valuable time for patient care.” – Aïssa KHELIFA, CEO, Milvue North America
SUPPORTING SAFER, FASTER CARE
While not a diagnostic replacement, TechCare Metrics provides actionable data that supports the orthopedic workflow, reduces the radiologist’s workload and enhances the diagnostic performance of healthcare teams.
